This wine is made with Susumaniello grapes grown in red, iron-rich soil over limestone. The vineyard work is done manually, and winemaking is traditional; the use of aging woods is never too invasive. It is aged in a mix of steel and wood.


It is described as smooth, full-bodied, having an intense ruby red colour, balanced tannins, and aromas of ripe red fruit, blackberry, underbrush, and tobacco.
