According to the ancient legend, God cried seeing into the Gulf of Naples, a strip of sky stolen by Lucifer, and so, where his tears fell there, Lacryma Christi Vesuvio vines grew.
Grapes are harvested around Vesuvio, after careful selection the wine is aged in oak barrels for around 8 months.
Lacryma Christi Vesuvio rosso has a fruity aroma with hints of cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant with spicy overtones of minerals and cloves. Soft and elegant with red fruits, plums and hints of tobacco, coffee and ground pepper.
